General Book Sale Information
The
Friends of the Pima County Public Library receive over 350,000 books
each year. For any given sale there are 150,000-250,000
books. Since our sales floor is only able to hold 50,000 books,
we continually restock. Our Sales floor is brimming with
bargain-priced new and used books, records, CDs, audio books, software,
puzzles, sheet music, DVDs, videos, and more. Young or old, we
have something for everyone.
The
Friends sale is not only Tucson’s largest book sale; it is one of
the largest in the Southwest. The sale draws book lovers from all
over the country. If you’re a book lover too, check out www.booksalefinder.com to see what other sales might be going on nearby.
Location:
The sales are located at the Friends’ Book Barn (formerly
Bob’s Bargain Barn), 2230 N. Country Club. This is on the
east side of Country Club, a ½ block south of Grant Road.

Parking:
There is a parking available around the Book Barn. Additional
parking is available across Country Club behind the antique store
Geraniums. Please do not park in the lot on the southwest corner
of Grant and Country Club.
Hours: After Members’ Day, our sales are always free and open to the public.
Weekdays 10 am to 7 pm
Saturday & Sunday 9 am to 5 pm
During the sales, we do close during the week to restock the shelves. Please check the schedule to verify the days we are open.
Our Prices:
You can’t beat ‘em. Most items are priced under $5,
and of these, 80% are $2 or less. There are thousands of
children’s books at 5/$1 and 50¢ each. Featured areas
include the Collector’s Corner with hundreds of out of print
books, rare and unusual books, and shelves full of modern First
Editions. We also have a Gift Shop area with current, like-new
quality books suitable for giving.
Books
are shelved by 67 different categories so it is easy for you to find
what you’re looking for. We have almost any topic you want,
from the hottest romance to the latest in scientific theory. If
you can think of it, we probably have a book on it. Shelves are
continually restocked, so come often and bring a friend.
Remember,
the Friends of the Pima County Public Library is a non-profit,
volunteer-based organization. In 2006-2007, we donated $216,000
to the Library for programs and services. This is all possible
because of your support.
